Mrs. Essie H. Williams, widow of Charles(sic) W. Williams, died at her home No. 1108 Highland avenue at 6:30 o'clock, Monday morning, July 29th.

Mrs. Williams was born March 25, 1855, a daughter of Oliver J. and Rachel Lutton Hazen, pioneer residents of Shenango township.

She and her husband, who died January 15, 1911, were married December 31, 1873, and lived for many years on their farm near Hillsville, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, moving to New Castle in 1904.

At an early date she was united with the Provident Baptist church near North Sewickley, Beaver county, Pennsylvania, and was at the time of her death, a member of the First Baptist church of this city.

She was a woman of deep religious conviction and her church and its activities, next to her family, claimed her most active interest.

Mrs. Williams is survived by the following children: Mrs. Grace W. Fisher of East Liverpool, O.; William H. of New Castle; Charles H. of Abington, Pa.; and Frank C. of East Liverpool, O; Also by nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
