Princess Anne of Denmark
(aka Anne Bowes-Lyon Anson Oldenburg)
Daughter of the Honourable John Herbert Bowes-Lyon and the Honourable Fenella Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis. She was the paternal granddaughter of Claude Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck. Her maternal grandparents were Charles Hepburn-Stuart-Forbes-Trefusis, 21st Baron Clinton, and Lady Jane McDonnell.
Anne was a maternal cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.
She first married Thomas Anson, Viscount Anson, in 1938. Their son, Patrick Anson, became the 5th Earl of Lichfield and a notable royal photographer. They also had a daughter.
Anne was divorced in 1948, and then married Prince Georg Valdemar of Denmark in 1950. Their wedding was held at Glamis Castle in Scotland.
Georg and Anne had no children.
