Mrs. Margaret Barnett, 73, Smithtown, suffered a heart attack Tuesday, August 24, at home and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Scott County Hospital, Oneida, Tenn. The deceased was born May 16, 1898, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Will Wilson and Lou Verna Whitehead Wilson. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Noel Tucker, Revelo; Earnie Barnett, Cincinnati, and Fred Tucker, Royalton, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Laura Sears, Somerset; and five brothers, Cal Wilson and Shelby Wilson, Revelo; Ben Wilson and Walter Wilson, Smithtown, and Elihu Wilson, Hill Top. Her husband, Napoleon Barnett, preceded her in death. The Rev. Alfred Stephens conducted funeral services Friday, Aug. 27, at 2 p.m.. in the Antioch Baptist Church. Burial was in the Cooper Cemetery. Hickman Funeral Home in charge.
