OBITUARY Sedan, Chautauqua county, KS January 29, 1920 (died January 27, 1920)
W. S. Snodgrass, an aged citizen of Sedan, died early Tuesday morning as the culmination of a chronic illness with which he had suffered for the past four years. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. W. J. N. Robertson, followed by interment in Greenwood cemetery. He leaves a wife and six children to mourn his departure. They are, Samuel M. Snodgrass of Iola, Mrs. Levi Williams of Sedan, Mrs. Robert Wilkins of Utah, Fred Snodgrass of Pierceville, Kansas, Mrs. James Anderson of Sedan and Roy Snodgrass who is in Louisiana.
Mr. Snodgrass was born August 1841, and first came to the county about twenty years ago. After living here for a time he moved away and resided in various parts of Kansas until four years ago when he returned here and made Sedan his home until his death."
