Mrs. Marie E. Romanowski Obituary

Marie E. Romanowski, 85, of Belvidere, died Friday, September 21, 2007 in her home following a lingering illness. She was born September 15, 1922 in Wabash County, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph and May (Bechtold) Biehl. She and her husband moved here two years ago from Addison, Ill. Marie was employed as a clerk for Keebler Company for 14 years before retiring. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Addison and St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere. She attended the Ray Vogue School of Design, Chicago. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking. Marie is survived by her husband, Sigmund; three daughters, Barbara (Michael) Hochgesang, St. Charles, Ill; Rose (James) Bastien, Belvidere; Elaine (Larry) Maier, Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Erin (Dan) Wash; Lindsey Hochgesang; Michele (Lucrecio) Gonzalez; Shawn and Joel Bastien; Joseph and Alexander Maier; three great grandchildren, D'Marco, Ceaser, and Xzavier Gonzalez; one brother, Dean Lee Beihl. She was preceded in death by parents and one brother.

Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2007 in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home 218 W. Hurlbut Av. and Mass at 10:30 a.m., in St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Ruben Herrera, celebrant. Burial in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
