BELMONT - Faith Hansil Kiser, 74 of Mercy Place, died peacefully and surrounded by her children Jan. 8, 2009, at her residence.
A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Harvey & Margaret Flowers Hansil.
She retired as Hospital Services Coordinator with the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her sons & daughters in law: Robert Phillip Kiser, Jr. & Marie Kiser of Mt. Holly, Richard A. Kiser & Sarah Kiser of Charlotte and Jeffrey S. Kiser & Kim Kiser of Belmont; daughter: Hope Hansil Kiser and partner Liz Bartlett of Raleigh; brothers and sisters in law: Richard H. "Sonny" & Betty Hansil, of Gastonia and Paul G. "Jimmy" & Janice Hansil of Norcross, Ga.; sisters & brothers in law: Jan & Col. (Retired) Omar Van Rooyen of Fort Mill, and Sue & Michael Coates of Stanley; brother in law, Clayton Shuler of Bryson City; grandchildren: Jessica Kiser, Bryan & Victoria Kiser, Christopher Kiser; great grandchildren Caleb Kiser and Cameron Bryce Kiser; a number of nieces & nephews and her special friend and neighbor of 40 years, Nehi Hornbuckle.
In addition to her parents, Faith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Phillip "Bob" Kiser Sr. and her sister, Alice Shuler.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte with Rev. Reavis Fox officiating.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 or Hillview Baptist Church, 403 Dallas Stanley HWY, Dallas, NC 28034 or to Forest Pointe Church, 26 N. Main St, Suite A, Belmont, NC 28012.
