JANE (BURNS) DRURY - WILLITS
Jane Burns was probably born in Fairfield County, Ohio. Her first husband was Edward Drury. They were married in Ohio. Edward died in Wayne County, Indiana.

Children of Jane & Edward Drury:
Harriett, b. abt 1806, Ohio;
William, b. 9/17/1809, Ohio;
Clarinda, b. 7/28/1811, Wayne County, Indiana; Chariah, b. 1814, Indiana;
Cecelia, b. 1816, d. 1822, Indiana;
Margaret, b. 1818, d. 1832, Indiana;
Courtney, b. 11/23/1820, Indiana;
Maria, b. 1823, d. 1833, Indiana;
Nancy Theresa, b. abt 1825, Indiana;
Edward, b. 12/21/1827, Indiana.

Jane's second marriage was to William Willits. William was the son of Isaac & Elizabeth Willits. They were married on 3/4/1832 in Wayne County, Indiana. Several of Edward & Jane's children also married into the Willits family.

Besides the ten children Jane had with her first husband and the ten that William had with his first wife, they had one more child together, Margaret, who was born in Indiana about 1832. This would have been the second daughter named Margaret for Jane since she also had a Margaret with her first husband. Daughter Margaret Drury died in July of 1832 at the age of 14, just a few months before the birth of daughter Margaret Willits.

The History of Mercer County, 1882, says that Jane's son Courtney Drury came to Mercer County in the fall of 1834 with the William Willits family. But the William Willits family did not stay long. They returned to Washington Township, Indiana by the 1850 census.

William died on his farm in Greens Fork Valley, Wayne County, Indiana on October 12, 1858. After his death Jane returned to Mercer County, Illinois where she died on 7/16/1878 and is buried in New Boston Cemetery near her daughter Clarinda, son-in-law Levi and several grandkids.
