Mrs. Mary D. Herring, wife of Edward Herring, died at her home near Herring Store, Rockingham County, Saturday night at 10 o'clock. She was 75 years old, and death was due to paralysis.

She was a Miss Shifflett before marriage. She is survived by her husband; one son, W.T. Herring; and a grandson; one brother, P.A. Shifflett.

Funeral services will be held from the Methodist Church, at Elkton on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Elk Run Cemetery. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. C.C. Jones, assisted by Rev. A.W. Andes. The pallbearers will be Homer Leap, Joseph Leap, Clarence Light, J.E. Weiner, J.N. Caldwell, C.L. Hendrick, John Dutrow and E.L. Lambert.

Note - Mary was the daughter of Turner and Milly Shifflett.
