This week was a sad one for many. Early Tuesday evening we learned that George Ivy Rountree, 58, had a fatal heart attack. His wife is the former Louise Sconyers. His mother, Mrs. Mae Rountree, lives with Rev. and Mrs. Rollie Riner. He had nine children. Edith White of Twin City and Gloria Ann Wilcher of Louisville are his daughters.

George Ivy and Louise were happily living in the former W.O. Webb residence next to the late Mrs. Horace Durden's home. He was a dignified and respected citizen.
