REV. T.C. GREENWOOD.
(Luling, Texas Signal)
Rev. T. C. Greenwood, died at the home of his son, P. J. Greenwood, Wednesday afternoon at 12:40 after a lingering illness, was born in Mississippi April 14, 1823, making him 84 years, 10 months and 15 days old.
Rev. Greenwood moved to Texas from Mississippi and settled on the Lan Marcos river four miles west of Luling, where he lived until a few months ago when he and his wife who died a short while ago, moved to Luling.
In earlier days when in his prime, Rev Greenwood was one of the most prominent men of this section. Always taking unbounded interest in the welfare of his community and being a man of strictly honorable principles he has always been highly respected and esteemed by his numerous friends and acquaintances.
He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for the past 60 years, and will be buried at the city cemetery by his Masonic brothers at 10 o'clock this morning.
He leaves several sons and daughters as well as grandchildren and other relatives and friends to mourn his death. Thus one by one the old landmarks go to their just reward and leave their deeds and accomplishments as tokens of remembrance.
