: Per the Records of Interments by the Quartermaster's Department in the National Cemetery of Raleigh, North Carolina Line 1 of Pg 57 and Pg 58, relate to the life and bodily remains of Private Harrison Allen. On Pg. 57 his name and service in the Civil War, Company G, Regiment 13 of the Indiana Infantry is recorded. On Pg. 58 the date of his death is given. Because the military knew the date of his death, they should have records of where his regiment was on that date. They did not know his age or the locality where he died. The place of his burial is also unknown. The military did make record of his memorial stone, they placed in his honor. Harrison Allen's loved ones have also done that for him in the locality where they lived with him, as a testimony to his life and to their devotion for him.
