Reuben P. Pederson, 79, 625 W. Lincoln Ave., died Thursday, April 11, at the Pioneer Nursing Home, Fergus Falls. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, at he Federated Church. The Rev. William Van Dyken will officiate.
One of three children of Elias and Johanna Kittleson Pederson, he was born Aug. 15, 1905 in Chippewa Falls, Wis.
He spent his early childhood in Hills, Minn., and moved with his family to Fergus Falls where his father was pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1924. He married Margaret Johnson on June 16, 1929. He went into business with clifford Vigen and Leonard G. Johnson, creating the Fergus Jobbing Company. He went into the insurance business in the 1940's until his retirement from the Federated Mutual Insurance Company.
He was a member of the Orpheon Male Chorus, the Elks Lodge and the Federated Church.
Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Norman (Marlene) Toso, Staughton, Wis., Mrs Reno (Rebecca) Kuehnel Jr., Newton, Wis., Mrs Jerry (Doris) Enderson, Fergus Falls and Kathryn Knutson, Fergus Falls; two sons, Richard, Worthington and Charles, Grand Forks, N.D.; two brother [sic], Morton, Battle Lake and Luther, Wahkon; 33 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
