༻✿ Edith Emeline Powell Viet was the daughter of William Hon and Cora Heare Powell born on January 31, 1886, Clark County, Ohio.

G-Aunt Edith married James A. Slough in 1906 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, USA. They had one known child together who passed soon after birth. The child was christened on the day of birth and soon expired. May this sweet child rest in the arms of the angels.

1) Infant J. Slough, born March 24, 1907, was christened the same day and soon after that day expired, Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, USA. The marriage did not last.

G-Aunt Edith married William J. Viet in 1911.

Known child of William J. and Edith Powell Viet:

1) Virginia Viet, born 1913, Died in the 1980's. Virginia married Charles Alfred Stropes.

Known children of Charles Alfred and Virginia Viet Stropes:

A) Alfred Donald Stropes, born July 19, 1937. Alfred Donald passed in 1992. He married and had two children: a) Donald Wilton Stropes, born November 27, 1970; b) George Wallace Stropes, born May 8, 1972. B) Marilyn Sue Viet, born June 15, 1944.

G-Aunt Edith had one son after her husband passed, though she never remarried. Known child:

1) William Viet, born April 30, 1924. He passed away in Austrailia in 1944. He had married Dorothy Gardiner.

Known children of William and Dorothy Gardiner Viet: A) Judith Ann Viet, born November 18, 1944 in Austrailia. William committed suicide not long after his daughter was born. Being an illegitimate child in those days he was not treated nicely by many in the community as he grew up.


G-Aunt Edith is greatly loved by the family and still very missed. May she rest in the peace and love of God.
