PVT. RUSSELL F. SOSMAN.
Military funeral services for Private Russell F. Sosman, of Homestead, who was wounded fatally in the Battle of the Bulge on Christmas Day, 1944, will be held Friday at 2 p.m., at the Gillen and Coulter Funeral Home, 319 East Ninth Avenue, Homestead. The body of Private Sosman, the first deceased World War II veteran to be returned to Homestead, will arrive Wednesday morning and friends will be received at the funeral home. Private Sosman is survived by his wife, Mrs. Peggy Hill Sosman, of 132 West Virginia Avenue, Homestead Park; a son Russell, Jr.; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Reese, and a sister, Mabel Hall, both of Pleasant Hills. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
