Mr. Winter passed away Friday evening at Lake Region Hospital.
He was born 5ept. 3, 1883, at Fergus Falls, the son of Fred and Maria Winter. He farmed in Western Township until 1928 when he went to work for te City Park Department, retiring in 1964.
On Sept, 6, 1929 he married Jennie Knutson.
His first wife and a son, Bill, preceded him in death.
He was a lifetime resident of the Fergus Falls area.
Surviving are his wife, Jennie; three daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Eleanor) Halvorson, Mrs. Loy (Marie) Machacek, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) McNulty; three sons, Kenneth Knutson, Marvin Knutson and Willis Knutson; 26 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.
