George Washington Tiller was the son of David Tiller and Sarah Jane Duty
Born in Tug River, Logan County, West Virginia on 11 Apr 1840
He was a Confederate soldier, rank of Private in Virginia Regiment, Montgomery Company, Virginia Light Artillery.
He married Martha Matilda Ball on 15 Apr 1858 in Russell County, Virginia . They had 9 children. Martha died in 1914, George followed two years later. Both are buried in the George Tiller Cemetery in Buchanan County. George Tiller Cemetery is Located over the hill beside Route 80 ( in the very steep turn ) about a half a mile before you get to G and J Grocery.
