Phyllis L. Smoker Ellis, 81, of Baldwinsville, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, died peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Lewistown, PA, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Smoker. Phyllis was very active as a member of the Lysander Methodist Church, Lysander Republican Committee, Bal-On-Sen Triangle advisor and was a member of the Baldwinsville Order of Eastern Star.
She was known for her love and caring nature. Her sense of humor will be missed greatly by all.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Gates Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 29 W. Genesee Street, Baldwinsville. Gates Funeral Home, Inc. Compassionate Care
