Julia Ann was the only child of John Paul (6-10-1915/12-1-2000) and Lois Lorene Herndon Simpson (2-13-1913/8-4-1991). She was the granddaughter of James Daniel Simpson (1879 - 1979) and Annie Claudine Clanton Simpson (1887 - 1971).
She was married to William "Bill" Harrison Elliott.
