James A. Cheuvront of Belpre, Ohio, passed away May 5, 2003 at home. Jim was born December 5, 1935 in Wirt County, WV. He was 67 years and 5 months old. He is survived by his wife, Lois Kidder Cheuvront, whom he married in November 1954. Jim graduated from Wirt County High School with the class of 1953. He began working fro the Boilermakers in 1954, and retired from Local 667 Charleston, WV.
Jim is survived his children: daughter, Brenda & Kenny Wilson, Washington, WV, sons, Larry & Judy Cheuvront, Veto, Ohio, Barry Cheuvront, Belpre, Ohio and Garry & Pam Cheuvront, Veto, Ohio. His grandchildren: Jaime & Greg Kupfner, Brian Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Jimmy Cheuvront, Katie Cheuvront, Curtis Cheuvront and Kelsey Cheuvront, and his great-grandchildren: Bryce Kupfner, Megan Kupfner, and Emily Kupfner.
Also surviving are Chuck and Helen Bumgarner Cheuvront, Jim's parents. Mother-in-law, Esther (Tommy) Bonnette Kidder. Two brothers, Don of Elizabeth, WV and Ken of Vienna, WV.
Jim was preceded in death by one brother, Joe, one nephew Jeff Cheuvront, and his father-in-law, Earl Kidder.
Services will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 and up to service time on Thursday.
