Lived a single, happy life, but lived for his family. He loved his friends and several travels overseas. He had an older brother, Gideon Henry, and two older sisters, Opal, and Gladys. He was cared for after their deaths, by his niece and nephew. He worked in his fathers Wholesale Meat Company for several years. After it was sold, he became the credit manager for Montgomery Wards on 7th Street. He retired after 25 years. Most of his department were women, who seemed to adore him and his work ethics.
