Mr. William Perry "Buddy" Campbell, age 64, Rt. 2, Tarrytown, died Thursday, April 7, 1983 at the Augusta Veterans Hosptial following an extended illness.
The retired farmer and carpenter was a native of Dodge County but had lived in Tarrytown for the past 37 years. He was the son of the late John Campbell and Mrs. Lula Y. Campbell of Vidalia. He was a member of Ruth's Chapel United Methodist Church and a Veteran of World War II.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, mrs. Patsy Allmond Campbell, Tarrytown; three daughters, Mrs. Lorette Fountain, Richmond Hill, Ms. Linda Hamilton, Waynesboro, and Miss Libby Campbell, Tarrytown; three sisters, Mrs. Macy Sharpe, Miss Millie McDonald, and Mrs. Ann Foskey all of Vidalia; two brothers, Elmer Campbell, Vidalia,Clifford Campbell, Milledgeville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell were held on Saturady, April 9, 1983 at 3;00 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Interment followed in Allmond Family Cemetery. Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Active pallbearers were William Braddy, Clay Warnock, Jerry Atkins, Johnny Campbell, Jackie Campbell and Mitchell Foskey.
