Mrs. Maggie Howell Crumpler, 84, of Rt. 2 Goldsboro, died at her home yesterday after a lingering illness. She was the widow of David Crumpler. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30pm from the Stoney Creek Freewill Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in the family cemetery. The Revs. C.F. Bowen and Fred Rivenbark will officiate.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Crumpler of Rt. 3 Snow Hill and Waitus Crumpler of Rt 2 Dudley; five daughters, Mrs. Dovie McKeel of Goldsboro, Miss Mildred Crumpler of the home, Mrs. Katie Jones of Swansboro, Mrs. Martha Biscontini of Old Forge, Pa., and Mrs. Celia Wade of Rt 7 Goldsboro; 27 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the Futrell Funeral Service.
