Bennie's obituary appears in The Paris News, Paris, Texas, 7 Nov 1982, on page 4 under the headline Bennie Burns.

Bennie was the son of Andrew Jackson Burns and Annie Olivia Anderson. Sometime in 1940, Bennie married Effie Cleophus Hill in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas. Bennie and Effie had the following children: Theda Gale, Brenda Joan, Martha Ruth, John Franklin, Bennie Bruce, and Becky.

Effie preceded Bennie in death, dying 19 Jul 1960.

The obituary lists the following survivors: two sons, John Burns of Tucson and Bruce Burns, both of Tucson; four daughters, Brenda Bass of Tucson; Veda (Theda) Spelts of Lynche, Neb., Martha Grubb of Evansville, Ind. and Becky Cedarholm of Black River Falls, Wis.; two sisters, Sally Coleman of Annona and Eurath Babb of Duncanville; one brother, Harold Burns of Houston and five grandchildren.

Prior to living in Tucson, Bennie and his family lived in Clarksville. The Clarksville Funeral Home handled the arrangements. It would appear that Bennie is buried in the Clarksville area.
