Mrs. Moses [Minnie] Lane, 80, of Paradise township, died Thursday, May 3 in the Cunningham Nursing Home in Mattoon. The obituary gave the information that burial was in Bethany Cemetery, Shelby County. She was born Jul. 11, 1881 in Ash Grove, the daughter of Tobias and Roseann Spurlin Weeks. She married Moses Lane in 1900 and he had died in 1952. Surviving were son, Dale of Gays; Sam of Quaker City, OH; and Robert of Massilon, OH; daughters, Mrs. Charles Douglas of Neoga; Mrs. Joe Stevens of Shelbyville; Mrs. George Reid and Mrs. Leo Shelley of Gosport, IN, plus 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
