January 28, 1926 - October 19, 2009 Bernice Harrison was born January 27, 1926 in Jackson County and departed this life Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Valdosta, Georgia, being 83 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Green & Catherine Isaacs.
Bernice is survived by three children James Isaacs & wife Kay of Richmond, KY, Judy Pearl Tharp & husband Bill of Homerville, Georgia and Sherry Ann Carpenter of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by a brother- Verlon Isaacs of Berea, KY. She was blessed with five grand-children and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was also preceded in death by her husband- Verlin Harrison and by the following brothers and sisters- Herman, Hershel, Cecil, Cloyd, Lonnie, Nancy & Judy Isaacs, Cora Cochran & Barbara Slinker.
Funeral service was held 1:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hurst officiating. Burial followed in the Green Isaacs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Slinker, Ron Isaacs, Steve Cochran, Bennie Isaacs, Michael Tharp & Aaron Manord. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
