Isabelle M. "Issy" Aitkin, 90, of Milroy, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 2, 2016, at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.


Born May 5, 1926, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late William Frank and Marian A. (Knepp) Collins. Her husband, Frank N. Aitkin, preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by sisters, Doris Longwell and Eleanor Kibe, both of Reedsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene A. Collins, James F. Collins and one sister, Margaret Aitkins.

Earlier in life she had worked at Kinney Shoe Store, Lewistown and the American Viscose Corp. She was a 1945 graduate of Milroy High School.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with Rev. Robert Zorn officiating. There will be a viewing one hour before the funeral service. Interment will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Milroy
