A telegram received in this city this morning from Topeka, announces the death of Mrs. J. M. Miller, of Dow creek, who was sent to the state asylum last fall. The remains will be brought home for burial.

The remains of Mrs. J. M. Miller, whose death at Topeka has already been announced in The NEWS, arrived in Emporia yesterday evening , and were taken to the residence of Stillman Smith. The funeral took place this afternoon from the Baptist church, Rev. Mr. Tomlinson officiating.
