SWAN, Jerry L. (Age 65) Jerry was born on January 17, 1945 in Springfield, MO;entered into rest October 2, 2010 in Mead, WA. A Spokane area resident for 60 years. Jerry attended Rogers High School and then went to barbercollege. He was employed by Northtown Barber Shop andlater at Fairchild A.F.B. cutting hair for the officers and their wives. From there he worked at Ernest (Shadle) as sporting goods manager and then at Jensen-Byrd, traveling to different states including Alaska and Hawaii setting up new stores. First and foremost he loved his yard, growing tomatoes and planting flowering bushes, playing golf with his brothers in the summer months and strolling in Riverfront Park with his wife. Jerry issurvived by his wife of 20 years, Ellen; sons, William of Chewelah, WA and George and Robert both of Spokane; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will always be alive and loved in my heart. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley.
