Mrs. Anna C Elgin, wife of Dr. Arthur G. Elgin, died at her home in Poolesville, Montgomery county, aged thirty-six years. She had been ill* a long while and her death was not unexpected.
She is survived by her husband and three [four] sons.
The funeral took place from the family residence, the services being conducted by Rev. C. K. Ray, pastor of the Poolesville Methodist Church and Rev. Dr. Roth, rector of the Poolesville Episcopal Church. Burial was at Beallsville.
Mrs. Elgin was, before her marriage, a Miss Carpenter of Washington.
*"She had tuberculosis and was sent to Saranac Lake, NY to "take the airs". Her condition was too advanced, so she returned to Poolesville."
