Mary Ann was a daughter of Wiley Lewis, b. abt. 1816 in Bulloch Co., GA; and Rhoda Cannon, b. abt. 1815 in Georgia. Their dates of death and burials are not known at this time.

Mary Ann married Hampton Durrence Sikes on 15 Jan 1854 in Tattnall Co., GA, and had 12 children, all born in Tattnall County except the first child who was born in Bulloch Co., GA.

1. Jonathan Sikes, b. 27 Jul 1855 Bulloch Co., GA; d. 24 Jul 1932 Blackshear, Pierce Co., GA; family believes him to be buried at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Tattnall Co., GA, but I have not seen a stone for him there.

2. Sarah Jane Sikes, b. 20 Oct 1857; d. 25 Aug 1913 Tattnall Co., GA; buried in the Dave Holland Cemetery, Tattnall Co., GA as Sarah Jane Sapp, wife of H. E. Sapp.

3. William Edward Sikes, b. 28 May 1859; d. 27 Sep 1918; buried in the Sikes Chapel Cemetery, Claxton, Evans Co., GA; Sect. D as W. E. Sikes.

4. Elbert Hampton Sikes, b. 20 Nov 1861; d. 23 Jun 1944 Evans Co., GA; buried in the Sikes Chapel Cemetery, Claxton, Evans Co., GA; Sect. D.

5. Mary A. Mollie Sikes, b. 18 Mar 1862; d. 23 Nov 1926, Bulloch Co., GA.

10. Martha A. Sikes, b. abt. 1874; d. 1938. Family states she and her husband Rayford James Sapp are buried in Evergreen Church Cemetery, in Evans County. However, I cannot locate their stones in this cemetery.

11. Queen A. Elizabeth Sikes, b. 20 Feb 1879; d. 23 Jul 1970 Chatham Co., GA; buried in the Emmaus Church Cemetery, Claxton, Evans Co., GA; Sect. C, as Queen Sikes Barrow by her first husband Rilleford B. Barrow. Her second husband Luke Levy Barrow is also buried in that cemetery, section B, by his parents, and grandparents.

12. Daniel Martin Sikes, b. 27 Aug 1881 (although his military records state 27 Aug 1880); d. 07 May 1952 in Savannah, Chatham Co., GA; buried in the Sikes plot in the Sikes Chapel Cemetery, Claxton, Evans Co., GA; Section A; as Daniel M. Sikes.
