Susan Hale passed away at Lewis county, Weston, W. VA. she was widowed.

The Weston Independent, Tues. 29 April 1919:
"HALE, MRS. SUSAN, widow of late Abram Hale, died at the family home on Third Street Saturday, age 83. Services this afternoon, with interment at Machpelah cemetery. Surviving children, Misses Mintie, Florence, Ivy, and Blanche Hale, Mrs. Edna Thompson and Dr. Frank Hale. The husband died twelve years ago. He was a former sheriff of Lewis county."
