"Murder Feared But Heart Trouble Caused The Death"
Globe, Ariz., April 19 -- O. B. Beamer was found dead in an outhouse near the Mountain View Hotel this morning. At first it was feared that the deceased had met with foul play, but had died from heart trouble.

The deceased was recently beaten by Tom McKernan and Joe Hayden because he refused to give them money when they were begging and up to the time of the verdict of the physicians who held the autopsy last night, it was believed that Beamer's death had resulted from the injuries inflicted upon him by the two men. McKernan is serving a thirty day jail sentence imposed by Judge Hendricks on last Thursday for assault upon Beamer. Hayden was given a fine which he paid.
After the discovery of the body this morning Coroner H.H. Pratt ordered it taken to the Miles Undertaking parlors where an autopsy was held last night by Drs. Kennedy, Wiley and Fox. The found bruises upon Beamer's body inflicted by McKernan, but none of them sufficient to cause death and a close inspection caused them to reach the conclusion that death was due to heart failure.

Beamer was an employee of the Old Dominion. He leaves a wife and three children at La Veta, Colo. He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Wokenburg, Colo. He appears to be about fifty years of age. Wells Fargo receipts found in his room show that he remitted to his family regularly. Mrs. Beamer has been telegraphed as to the disposition of the remains.
