Birth: Oct. 5, 1884
Pleasant Plains
Independence County
Arkansas, USA
Death: Jan. 24, 1983
White County
Arkansas, USA

The William Henry Wood family home burned sometime after 1900 and the family Bible which contained birth records was destroyed. This is likely the reason Nettie Wood Hunt was never really sure of her exact age in later years. According to the 1900 census records, she was born October 1884. She believed she was born in 1886. An interesting thing found in the 1900 census was that her name was actually Anetta. "Nettie" was probably a nickname given to her when she was very young and after the family Bible was destroyed, the name Anetta was lost. She was my great-grandmother. Are you related? Contact me!
