Dorsey H. Millwood, 77 of Americus, died early Monday morning at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.. Mr. Millwood was a native of Forsyth County and had lived in Sumter County for most of his life. He was the son of Jessie O. and Nora Millwood. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and a traveling salesman. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1993 at the chapel of Harvey's Reese Park Chapel in Americus. The Revs. Mike Flowers and Clifford Braxton will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Millwood is survived by his wife, Moncile Millwood of Americus; two daughters, Marcia Player of LaGrange and Kay Millwood of Lake Blackshear; one son, Larry Millwood of Milledgeville; two sisters, Annie Mae Greene of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Edith Rushin of Americus; one brother, Leonard Millwood of Americus; 3 grandchildren, Sonja Beavers of Perry, Jana Player of LaGrange and Gregory Player of LaGrange; and one one in law, Richard Player of LaGrange.
