They built a barn and then their home. The 4th child was born 1923 in the barn before their home was finished. Mary Ella's husband died 1947. In 1956 their home burned to the ground and the family moved across the highway to a closed block store. I remember many Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings at the block home. We went to see grandma every weekend until her death in 1961.
