He was born in Springvale, a son of Norris O. and Ruth M. Lord Gilpatrick, and attended Berwick schools.
He was employed at Prime Tanning Co. in Berwick for 22 years and was a self-employed logger.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis M. Gilpatrick of Lebanon; five sons, Thomas L. Harpole of Florida, Mark S. Harpole of Wells, and Chris N. , Roger N. Jr. and Phillip J. Gilpatrick, all of Lebanon; four daughters, Catherine C. Harpole of Beverly, Mass., Mrs. Joseph (Pamela) Bielawski of Lebanon, Sandra M. Cole of Salisbury, Mass., and Mrs. Glenn (Linda) DeRosa of Florida; five brothers, Richard of Farmington, Keith of Sanford, David of Florida, Gary of Berwick and Barry of Dover, N.H.; three sisters, Betty Ann Greenlaw of Sanford and Norma Rieketts and Bonnie Lathrop, both of Berwick; his stepmother, Laura Gilpatrick of Somersworth, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be private. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Berwick. Arrangements are by Laing Funeral Chapel, Berwick.
