Choir Director, Harpist Dead After Illness
Miss Adaline Messerschmitt died at her home, 425 Greenwood Avenue, Friday night after a long illness.
She was a graduate of Juilliard School of Music and was a harpist in the musical production "Maytime", and with the Frank Damrosch Orchestra.
She was organist and choir director of Immaculate Conception Church until she retired five years ago. She did a great deal of concert work in the East.
She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Emma Mae Franz and Mrs. Helen M. Ullrich, both of Trenton, and Mrs. Percy Cooper and Miss Joanna Messerschmitt of Morrisville.
The funeral will be held from the Ullrich Funeral Home, 425 Greenwood Avenue, Wednesday at 9 a.m.Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 - 9 p.m.
