J. K. Bohannon died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. M. Sanders, in Marshall, Wednesday, May 10th, at 9 o'clock p.m. of blood poisoning. Mr. Bohannon was in the 69th year of his age.
Funeral services were held Thursday, and the remains were laid to rest beside his wife, who departed this life eleven years ago, in the Canaan Cemetery, in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing relatives and friends, Rev. Clark conducting services. Deceased was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, December 4, 1847. Six children survive him. They war Mrs. Jane Davis, of Itasca, Texas; Mrs. Mary Baldwin, of Heavner, Okla.; Kay and Hugh Bohannon of Anadarko, Okla., and Mrs. M. T. White and Mrs. A. M. Sanders of Marshall.
