JACOB BONEBRAKE, 78, of Greencastle Route 3, died Sunday afternoon at his home, after an illness of six weeks.
He was born in Franklin County, son of the late John and Susan Robinson Bonebrake.
He was a member of the Falling Spring Congregation of the Church of the Brethren. He served as a deacon in the church for 40 years.
He was a retired farmer.
Children surviving are: J. Marion, Anna May Showe, Mrs. Edward Aldridge and Samuel K. Bonebrake, all of Hagerstown; Robert Glenn, Hagerstown Route 6; H. Frederick, Greencastle Route 1; Mrs. Eugene Martin, Chamberburg Route 5; Mrs. Paul Talhelm, Grecncastle Route 1; Mrs. Paul Keckler, Waynesboro Route 2.
He is also survived by one brother, Harry Bonebrake, Waynesboro Route 2; 35 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hades Church of the Brethren in charge of the Rev. Lowell Gearhart, the Rev. Omar Nicarry and the Rev. Frank Wagaman. Burial will be in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home in Greencastle on Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 o'clock or at the church one hour before the service.
