Mrs. Annie Sue Shuler Aldridge, age 84, of Kennesaw, Georgia died Thursday, November 22, 2007.

Mrs. Aldridge was born in Jackson County, NC on September 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Fate and Ethal Blanton Shuler. Prior to moving to Rome in 1953, Mrs. Aldridge lived in Darrington, WA for a period of time. She relocated to Kennesaw, GA in 2006. Mrs. Aldridge joined Armuchee Baptist Church in 1958 and in 1970 moved her membership to Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. She was a housewife and homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aldridge is preceded in death by a brother, Gartrel Shuler and three sisters, Girline Fox, Agnes Crawford and Alice Hathaway.

Mrs. Aldridge is survived by her husband, Ralph Aldridge of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Rome, GA, to whom she was married on January 11, 1947; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sue and Jeff Wilson of Marietta, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Edward (Eddie) and Rhonda Aldridge of Kennesaw, GA and Samuel Lee (Sam) and Teresa Aldridge of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren and their spouses. Marty Wilson, serving in Iraq, Jodi and Bobby Todd of Rome, GA, John and Lynnzee Aldridge of Orlando, FL and Tracy Aldridge of Jacksonville, FL; a great-grandchild, Adeline Elise Aldridge of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Weldon Shuler of Darrington, WA and Paul Shuler of Sun City, AZ; and a sister, Ernestine Jones of Darrington, WA.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Hampton and Rev. Bill Atkins officiating. Mrs. Aldridge will be taken to the church to lie-in-state from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Aldridge will remain at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

The deacons of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet at the church by 2:30 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bessie Myrick Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Tranquility Well Star Community Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Drive, Austell, GA 30136.
