She is preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Richards, her parents James and Zella Gray, sisters and brother: Alice Hicks (Walter), Adolphine Hunter, and Jim Gray of OH, three sons: Ronald Richards of Mt. Vernon, OH, Greg Richards of Howard, OH and Vernon Richards of St. Petersburg, FL: three grandsons: Derrick Richards, of Mt. Vernon, OH, James Hart of Kansas City, MO and Ben Richards of Tampa, FL. She is survived by three daughters, four sons, 34 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Home going services were held at El Bethel Baptist Church in Tampa, FL where she was a member, on April 9, 2017, officiated by her son, Pastor Chuck Richards. Betty was the mother of ten children and was loved by all. She was a born again Christian and had been looking forward to going to be with the Lord. She was an avid game player and delighted in bird watching in her final years. Fond and loving memories will be enjoyed by her offspring, grandchildren, great grandchildren and countless others who were affected by her life here on Earth.
