Lucille White Dennis, 81, of Lancaster, formerly of Chester, a retired Fair Acres employee, died Sept. 10 at Conestoga View Nursing Home.
Mrs. Dennis was born in Danville, Va., where she attended public schools.
Mrs. Dennis was a cook and housekeeper for the parish priest at the former Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Chester. She retired from Fair Acres Geriatric Center, where she was employed as a dietician.
She was an active member of the former Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, now known as St. Katharine Drexel Church, in Chester.
She was the wife of the late Clarence R. Dennis.
She was the sister of the late Charlie White, Johnnie White, Addie Clark and Emma McLaughlin.
Survivors: Brother, King White of Chester; sister, Lottie Davis of Chatham, Va.; sons, Robert Dennis of Lebanon, Pa., James McLaughlin of Gretna, Va.; daughters, JoAnne White of Lancaster, Lynne Dennis of Boothwyn; stepdaughter, Crissa Allen of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Katharine Drexel Chapel, Second and Norris streets, Chester.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial: Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Upper Chichester.
Arrangements: Turay Funeral Home, Philadelphia.
