Herman "Pete" Brown, 71, of Athens, died Thursday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Evans and Jerry Curry officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Brewer Brown; two sons, Raymond Brown and Wade Brown, both of Athens; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Frizzell of Huntsville, Mrs. Margie Hooie of Montgomery, Mrs. Doris Claxton and Mrs. Joan Rochell, both of Athens; two brothers, James Brown of Pontiac, Mich., and Charles Brown of Athens; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Brightwell of Huntsville, Mrs. Lillie May of Athens and Mrs. Rachel Guine of Unionville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
