MRS. JEROME'S FUNERAL
Funeral services for Mrs. T. C. Jerome were held at her late home on the Jefferson road Thursday, May 29. The large attendance and the beautiful offerings showed the esteem in which she was held by her friends and neighbors.
Her sudden death was a shock to her many friends and she will not only be missed in her home circle, but was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. She was also a member of the W.C.T.U.
Allie Florence Holcomb was born in Hartsgrove, O., March 16, 1863, and died May 27, 1919. She was married to Leland Calaway, Sept 1881, to which union was born four sons. Searl, Bert, Harold and Howard, the latter named being twins. Howard preceding her to the great beyond at the age of eight months.
July 1909 she was united in marriage to T. C. Jerome, who passed away October 1918. Besides her three sons she leaves to mourn her departure an aged mother, Mrs. Helen Holcomb, of this city, seven grandchildren, five sisters, and two brothers. Her death is the first break in a family of eight children. The sisters and brothers are Mrs. Addie Stevens of Youngstown, Mrs. Lillian Clafflin, Rock Creek, Mrs. Nettie Summers of Hartsgrove, Mrs. Eva Bancroft, this city, Mrs. Victoria Childs of Orwell, Sherman Holcomb of Plymouth, Leonard Holcomb, this city.
Four sisters and the brothers, attended the funeral, two sisters being unable to attend on account of illness.
Relatives were present at the funeral from Cleveland, Painesville, Geneva, Conneaut and
Kingsville.
The burial was at Oakdale Cemetery Jefferson.
