Mrs. Edith Scarborough died Tuesday, March 24 at the Community Hospital in Lexington, after a lingering illness, with cancers.

Born in Archer, she had resided at Elm Creek for 36 years. Her husband, Ira, an Elm Creek merchant, preceded her in death in 1957.

Survivors are her daughter, Harriet, at home; sisters, Mrs. Bessie Hudnall, Elm Creek, and Mrs. Rena Colborn, Hawthorne, Calif.; brothers, Ralph Ferris, Boelus, Willard, Los Angeles; Lynn, Oxnard, Calif.; and Bert, Burbank, Calif.
