The Vital records, 1779-1903 Bath, give a date of 16 December at Bath.5 Mary Dunning died on 10 July 1823 in Bath, Maine, at the age of 84 (gravestone). (Sinnett gives a date of 10 September, 1823). Mary Dunning is said to have been "the prettiest girl of Old York, Maine, she was a woman of truly a sterling character, very patriotic,and beloved by all."4,3
