Kelly Sue Caulk (nee Dahlgren), age 42, of Portage, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Porter Hospital, Valparaiso Campus. Kelly had been a lifelong Portage area resident and graduated from Portage High School. She also graduated from Sawyer Business College and was a medical assistant. Kelly was also employed as a store manager at Burger King and attended Evangelical Covenant Church of Portage. She was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. She was especially close to her nieces and nephew whom she loved to pamper and spoil. Kelly is survived by her husband, Gary Caulk of Portage; mother, Patricia Dahlgren of Portage; brothers: Dale E. Dahlgren of Gilbert, AZ; and Robert Dahlgren and sister, Jodi Dahlgren, both of Florida; two nieces: Brianna and Montana May Dahlgren; nephew, Justin Dahlgren; sister-in-law, Sally Caulk of Cedar Lake; and caregiver, Lori Cauchon. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale L. Dahlgren; brother, Dennis Dahlgren; grandparents: Ellsworth and Helen Dahlgren and Edgar and Edna Charnetzky. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson, Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage with Pastor Sumit Sen officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
