Henry Collier was from Steuben Co, NY. What I know about the earlier generations is on his mother's memorial.

Henry's death certificate from the State of Michigan gives that he died in Ingham Co, White Oak township. He was married and died July 10, 1875. He was 68 years, 10 months, 16 days. Thus he was born August 25, 1806 (plus or minus a couple of days). His father was Albert Collier, who resided in New York. His mother was Betsey Collier and also resided in New York. Henry died of Dropsy of Chest.

Film #1019064 Washtenaw, MI Public Records, Vol 1, p 331, 1847
Received for record this 19th day of June A D 1847.
To whom it may concern: This certifies that Henery (sic?) Collier aged forty years of the town of Avoka (Avoca?) in the county of Steuben in the State of New York and Mahala A. Chadwick aged thirty years of the town of Scio of the County of Washtenaw in the State of Michigan were joined together in Holy Matrimony on this Eighteenth day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and 47 by me, Silos Tomeroy, Minister of the Gospel.
witnesses: John Chadwick, Rachel Simons

For years Henry's burial was only found in cemetery readings including in 1997 when MMGS did a reading of the visible stones in Cabot he had a stone. This is the information taken at that time: Henry Colier/d Jul 10 1875/ae 68y 9m 14s//. Also he was a civil war veteran-although no unit was mentioned, but a "Post 103 GAR iron flag holder" was visible.

In May 2011, DTQuesters found and cleaned the stone that had been lying on its back for decades. Lovely & thanks to them.
