ANOTHER OBIT: Died - At the home of Ira Lewis of Chadwick, Wednesday evening, November 18, 1903, Henry Sack, aged 57 years, 4 months and 22 days. Henry Sack was born in Hessen Darmstadt, Germany, May 26, 1845 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Sack. When eleven years of age he came to America with his parents and settled on a farm in Lima, Carroll county, Illinois. At the breaking out of the Rebellion he enlisted and served his country faithfully until the close of the war. He was united in marriage to Miss Luvina Lewis, daughter of Ira Lewis of Chadwick in 1866. To this union were born thirteen children, namely, Ira and William Sack of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Emma Miller of Dixon; Frank Sack of Lanark; Mrs. Elizabeth Hohnadle, Chas. Sack, Mrs. Amelia Spealman, Catherine, Edgar, Mary Ella Grace, and Eva Sack all of whom live in the vicinity of Chadwick. To mourn his tragic death, besides his wife and children, he leaves his aged mother, two brothers and three sisters. The deceased was a very prominent man in the town of Fair Haven and his friends were horror stricken to hear of his fatal accident, an account of which was given in our last week's issue. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Hope church in Chadwick, Rev. Gamber officiating.
