BEAVER DAM-- Floyd R. Baggarly, 84, of Beaver Dam died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Ohio County native retired as a coal miner from Peabody Coal Co. and was a Methodist He was a local musician and played on Central City radio and channel 13 in Bowling Green. He was a member of the Ohio County Senior Swingers band and Rockport Lodge 312 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ettah Knight Baggarly, and his second wife, Mary Elizabeth Benton Baggarly, on Feb. 11, 1993. Survivors include a son, Charles Leroy "Chuck" Baggarly of Maceo; four daughters, Martha Kay Black of Echols, Wilma Faye Smith of Owensboro, Mary Fanny Ward of Hartford and Linda Goff of Beaver Dam; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Baggarly of Beaver Dam; and two sisters, Katie Thomas of Bradenburg and Carrie Iglehart of Hodgenville. Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at William L Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Masonic services are at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
